About HELM
The programme schedule is directly aligned to the HELM vision and seeks to translate this into practical
learning experiences. Leadership and management remains a sector wide challenge and although HELM and other
initiatives have been operational for a number of years, the reality is that only a small part of the sector
could be targeted in once off attempts. HELM's vision is to contribute to the development of visionary leaders
and managers, with appropriate administrative skills and professional education management competencies to lead highly
complex institutions with creative and innovative strategies. The programme structure for 2009 attempts to provide opportunities
from which both the institution (and by implication the sector) as well as the individual can benefit.
